Rogues can remain undetected while having a strong tactical advantage over many of their opponents. They shine as a Melee DPS class and are most effective in close quarter combat where they can sneak in and out quickly while inflicting massive amounts of damage.

Playing the Rogue class is ideal for players who don’t like hanging back and instead like being in the thick of the action. You will need super fast reflexes and always be aware of everything going on around you always.

So if you thrive on action, ambush and using stealth attacks on enemies, the Rogue class may be the ideal fit for you.

Rogues have several abilities that make them a powerful adversary in dealing damage as well as avoiding threats from enemies. Combat abilities generally fall under three categories: Opening Moves, Combo Moves, and Finishing Moves.

Rogues can also learn poison skills after completing special quests that are accessible at level 20. Poisons are great for boosting the power and effects of weapons but they only work for a short duration.

Opening Moves are what the Rogue begin combat with such as: Ambush, Cheap Shot, Sap, Premeditation, and Garrote. These combat moves can only be used while the Rogue is stealthed.

Combo Moves are fundamental to normal combat situations, these include: Sinister Strike, Vanish, Backstab, Gouge, Evasion, Feint, Ghostly Strike, and Blade Fury.

Finishing Moves rely on having enough combo points to use them and once activated include: Evescerate, Expose Armor, Rupture, and Slice and Dice.

Stand out Poison skills include: Instant Poison, Crippling Poison, and Wound Poison.

Other notable abilities which Rogues possess (outside of combat) include: Pick Pocket, Distract, Sprint, Detect Traps and Disarm Traps, and Stealth. This wide range of abilities that make up the Rogue class is one of the many reasons for their popularity amongst many players.

The three talent trees available to the Rogue is: Assassination, Combat, and Subtlety. The Assassination tree is best for PvP because of the frequent crits and because poison skills work a treat. Combo points can also be acquired much quicker as well as high bust damage.

The Combat tree focuses on consistent damage dealing. With Combat Rogues the stealth and opening attack abilities are ignored for a more straight up offense that usually involves running up to the target and unleashing violent attacks.

If you choose to level a Rogue, the Combat tree is best because they will be much harder to kill.

The Subtlety tree is all about stealth and sticking to the shadows. Subtlety is a great spec for PvP and battlegrounds because the talents are optimized for sneak attacks and stunning targets. This is also a stand out spec for dungeons and end game raids.

Rogues can be played by both Alliance and Horde. Draenei and Tauren are the only races in which the class is unavailable.

Rogues are a fun class but they are a tough class to learn to play well. As a pure damage dealer that does not heal or tank, to be effective in playing this class you will need to know all the abilities like the back of your hand and more importantly when and how to use them.

So if you want to be a master of damage dealing and have a variety of cool abilities such as ambush, stealth, and lock picking then give the Rogue class a try.

While you may initially view healers as weak when it comes to the lack of damage they can inflict on enemies, this is not true with the priest. You do not want to take them lightly! They can strike out with vengeance on their enemies with a whole variety of devastating spells.

The priest class can be a very demanding role to play because you have to be constantly aware of the health of your team members at all times.

You also need to monitor your level of hate that you’re generating and you need to keep yourself healthy by not inflicting too much damage or abusing your power of healing.

Priests vary in their abilities due to their talent tree and specializations. Healing abilities include: group heals, resurrection of the dead, heals over a period of time, and single target heals.

Holy Magic abilities include: dispels and cures, direct damage and buffs. Shadow Magic abilities include: damage over time, mana drains, mind control and direct damage.

Each class of priest has three spec talent trees that are available to them to utilize. These are Discipline, Holy and Shadow. Talents should be viewed as upgrades to the priests stats and ability levels.

The Disciplined Priest is known for extreme durability, longevity and utility. They are effective at single target healing and although they are powerful group healers, Holy Priests are slightly more effective.

The Holy Priest is recognized as the best of all the healing classes in WOW. These priests are flexible healers when it comes to healing groups. They have a wide range of spells to do this including: Circle Of Healing and Prayer of Healing.

Shadow Priests can inflict the greatest amount of damage amongst all priest talent builds and are the DPS version of a priest. They have many spells that they can use to bring about this damage such as: Improved Mind Blast and Mind Flay.

If you choose to play a priest on the Alliance side you can choose from the following races: Dwarf, Human, Night Elf and Draenei. On the Horde side your choices for priest are from the following races: Blood Elf, Undead and Troll.

So should you choose the priest as your class? If you are not sure a simpler question to answer is, do you like to fight or do you like to heal? Of course this is a very generalized question and even though priests can take part in battle they are primarily a healer.

So you need to figure out your style and personality and match that to the specific class.

As a supreme master of the elements, totems are the favored tool used by the Shaman to produce a variety of unique and interesting effects. Once placed on the ground they become either tools of war and destruction or tools for healing and aiding allies.

They are acquired during certain quests and when activated they work in a set radius depending on the totem that is used. Shamans can only utilize one of each of the elements of wind, water, fire, and earth at any one time.

Air totems are made up of defensive tools, self buffs and group buffs. Air totems include: Grounding Totem, Natural Resistance, Wrath Of Air, Sentry, and Windfury.

Wrath Of Air is the standout totem from the Air Totems because of its ability to increase the damage per second in all spellcasters, as well as increasing the ability of healers in the group or raid.

Water totems focus mainly in restorative abilities through a variety of buffs. Water totems include: Mana Tide, Mana Spring, Cleansing, Healing Stream, and Fire Resistance.

Out of these totems, Mana Tide tips the scale for being one of the most powerful of all restorative mana abilities in WOW. This totem is great to use in fights that are long in duration when mana levels are running low in the healers and spell casters.

Fire totems are used for battles and include: Frost Resistance, Searing, Fire Elemental, Totem Of Wrath, Flametongue, and Magma. In higher levels, Fire totems can be combined with the other three totems to create powerful items such as the Totem Of The Earthen Ring.

Earth Totems are used for their defensive abilities in protecting the Shaman or single targets in the group. Earth Totems include: Earthbind, Stoneclaw, Strength Of Earth, Earth Elemental, Stoneskin, and Tremor.

The Stoneskin totem is a favorite to use when in a dungeon party because it increases the armor of all members and reduces tank damage.

Originally, the Shaman class was only on offer to the Horde races of Tauren, Trolls, and Orcs. But after The Burning Crusade expansion the Alliance could also be played by the Shaman race through the Draenei.

Bringing the Shaman to the Alliance was a much needed addition to the game to created balance between the classes.

The Shamans talent trees are: Elemental, Enhancement, and Restoration. Elemental deals with magical damage, Enhancement is focused on melee damage, and Restoration is a healing based talent.

Elemental Shamans are noted for their strong offensive powers and abilities in spell casting. In PvP the Elemental talent is the top build for exploiting the Shamans damage output.

One notable talent is Elemental Mastery which is a 31 point ability that increases the Shamans spell haste by 15% as well as allowing Chain Lightening, Lightening Bolt, and Lava Burst to become an instant cast spell.

Enhancement Shamans are melee damage dealers that possess a great deal of power. In fact, Shamans trail only behind Retribution Paladins and Rogues in terms of damage output (duel-wielding) when they use the Windfury Weapon buff..

Restoration Shamans are transformed into healers which are in high demand during raids because of their mixture of powerful totems and healing skills.

Whether they are generating mana with the Mana Tide Totem or healing multiple targets with the Chain Heal spell, Shamans are useful for both group PvE and PvP.

So if you are after a fully flexible, adaptable and versatile class of character then by now you should be convinced that the Shaman embodies these attributes.

Paladins are considered by many to be the hardest of all the classes to kill. The reason is because they can withstand major damage when they are armored in plate and have great overall defensive abilities.

Even though they are tough to inflict damage on, their major weakness is in protecting themselves against spell casters. They are very susceptible to spells such as Mana Burn, which causes shadow damage.

The Paladin is a much sought after addition to any group in PvP because of their strong buffing abilities. This WOW Paladin Guide standout buff being the Greater Blessings Of Kings buff, which increases all the attributes of the party or raid considerably.

In addition to blessings (spell buffs), Paladins also have access to three other powerful bluffs: auras, seals and hands. Auras are area-of-effect buffs that powerfully protect the Paladin and all the members of the group within a 40 yard radius.

Holy Paladins are recognized as one of the most powerful tank healers in World Of Warcraft. By combining Holy Light with the Beacon Of Light, the Paladins power of healing are greatly increased.

Damage output, holy damage and the avoidance of damage are just some of the talents that are part of the Retribution tree. Retribution Paladins can dish out a great deal of damage by increasing their own personal DPS levels, and through abilities such as: Divine Storm and Seal Of Command.

The Paladin class can be played by both races, Alliance and Horde. On the Alliance side, Draenei, Ironforge Dwarf and Human can play as the Paladin. On the Horde side the role of Paladin can be taken on by the Blood Elf and Tauren (Cataclysm expansion).

Since the Paladins ability to stay alive is heavily dependant on Mana, it is important to constantly be monitoring levels and boosting it with tools such as Judgement Of wisdom and Blessing Of Wisdom.

Mana gets depleted by casting spells and by taking part in battle, so make sure you do not spend too much Mana otherwise you will be in a weakened state in which enemies can cause you damage.

So is Paladin right for you? If you are looking in this WOW Paladin Guide for a class that is a fusion of melee fighter and a priest, and which is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to tanking, DPS, and healing, then the Paladin Class would be a great choice.

OK so the warcraft world of Azeroth is where game events take place, and is set about 4 years after the concluding events of Warcraft III – “The Frozen Throne”.

World of Warcraft, (often abbreviated to WoW) is a massively multi–player online role playing game (MMORPG). (More than 11.5 million paid monthly members)

23rd, November 2004 was the first release date for World of Warcraft – by Blizzard Entertainment. (WoW Level-up 1 to 60)

“The Burning Crusade” was World of Warcrafts first expansion set and was first released on 16th, January 2007. (WoW Level-up 1 to 70)

The second World of Warcraft expansion set, “Wrath of the Lich King” (WoW Level-up to 80) was released on 13th, November 2008 and “Cataclysm”, the third expansion set (WoW Level-up to 85), was announced on 21st, August 2009.

Two new WoW races were revealed in Cataclysm – “Goblins” belong to the Horde faction and “Worgen” to the Alliance. There is room for new talents, abilities and ways to allow players to grow their characters now that the level limit has increased to 85.

Kalimdor & the Eastern Kingdoms zones are reshaped and never to be again seen as they were. There are many new higher level zones with raid content, PvP objectives, and daily quests than any other expansion to date.

A Wintergrasp like zone with rated Battle grounds. The guild a player belongs to can earn levels with achievements just as any player can. Guilds are now able to advance just like players do.

World of warcraft leveling guide players control their own avatar character within the game play in first, or third person view. Exploring a world where the player encounters, battles and defeats monsters, completes various quests, and interacts with other game players, or non–player characters (NPCs).

To enter the Warcraft game world, a player selects a realm (often called a server). Each realm falls into one of four separate categories and acts as an individual copy of the game environment. Realms are categorized by: language (also with in game language support), player versus player (PvP), player versus environment (PvE), Role play (RP) and role play–PvP (RP–PVP).

• (PvP) Here open battle amongst game players is the most common.
• (PvE) This is where game play is focused more on completing quests and fighting with various monsters.
• Role play (RP) and role play–PvP (RP–PVP) Also variants of the above primary realm types are available.

Players may choose to create a new character from within one of the two opposing factions of ‘Alliance’ or ‘Horde’. A player selects the new character’s race, (for example Blood Elves or Undead for the Horde, or Knight Elves or Humans for the Alliance).

Characters from opposing factions can only perform basic communication, but members from within the same faction may group, chat, email, and share guilds. Each race has its own set of unique abilities and talents plus its own strengths and weaknesses.

Players may also choose the class for their character, (for example warriors, mages, and priests). The World of Warcraft class that you pick for your character will determine your main role in the game – so choose carefully.

During game time a players character evolves and grows, gaining numerous skills and talents, and this requires the player to continually keep adjusting and defining the abilities for that character.
